Dear Colleagues,
We have planned the XIV International Turkish Spine Congress as a virtual meeting between October 6-9, 2021. However, we received many feed-back from our participants to organize the congress face-to-face.
The Board of Turkish Spine Society and the Congress Organizing Committee carefully evaluated those feedbacks. From our colleagues and the industry and considered that the online congress would not meet both scientific and social expectations. For that reason, we decided to hold the congress as a live meeting like previous years.
One of our congress co-chairs, our dear friend Prof. Dr. We lost Kadir Kotil very recently, at a very early age. Our pain is endless and huge.
We want to share our pain, commemorate him and bring his fans together by organizing our congress in memory of our dear friend face to face at Wyndham Grand İzmir between 25 - 28 May 2022.
We will be together with spine surgeons and orthopedics at our congress. In addition, we think that we can share our experiences more efficiently in our meeting, with our colleagues from abroad who will be also contributing.
As before, we will discuss spine problems in detail with training courses, conferences, symposiums, discussion sessions, workshops, and papers. We will be discussing innovations and controversial issues in all their aspects.
The main topic of our congress will be “Aging Spine” Many elderly dealing with spine problems, from spinal problems caused by osteoporosis to degenerative deformities, will be discussing these problems. In addition to the aging spine, destructive pathologies, traumas, and childhood deformities will also be discussed. It will be a congress where high-level scientific studies will be evaluated with the participation of high-level scientists from both our country and various countries of the world.

The submission of abstracts can only be accepted via the online abstract system.
Authors name shouldn’t include any academical title.
The name should be written with first letter in capital
Ex: Mehmet Küçük
Name and address of the institution in which the author is employed, should be stated.
Ex: Xxxx University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Xxxx, Istanbul, Turkey
The name of an abstract title should be written with just first letter in capital. (abbreviations are excluded.)
Ex: Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxx xxxxx xxxxxx
If the abbreviation is used in the abstract, the explicit name of the abbreviation should be specified in parentheses.
The purpose of the study and the methods used in the abstract should be briefly stated, the findings should be summarized with sufficient numerical detail and the results should be explained within the framework of the presented findings.
Abstract should be written using objectives, methods, findings and conclusions.
The entire abstract should not exceed 400 words, excluding the title name, author's name, surname.
The abstract, which does not comply with any of these articles, will be excluded from the evaluation, regardless of its contents.
The evaluation will be made by the Scientific Evaluation Committee as blind review by keeping the names/surnames and institutions of the researchers secret over the internet. At least one of the researchers must complete the congress registration process for the papers to be presented at the congress and published in the abstract book. The Scientific Committee has the right to change and decide on papers as oral or poster presentations. The result of the evaluation will be sent to all the owners of the presentation as a final letter and we strongly state that the presentation holders should pay attention to the final decision on how their presentation sits.
Uptading
XIV. International Turkish Spine congress, will be held 25-28 May 2022 at Wyndham Grand Izmir Hotel.
The offical language is both Turkish and English.
All participants who register for the congress will be given a certificate of participation on the last day of the congress.
An invitation letter will be sent to all participants who registered to the congress. This letter is only assist the participant in obtaining permission from their institution.
During the congress, pharmaceutical and medical companies will exhibit their products at Wyhndam Grand Izmir Hotel. It is required to have a congress registration at the entrance to the exhibition areas.
In order not to have any difficulties during your presentations, you should prepare your presantations running under Microsoft Office programs. Before your presentation, you are kindly requested to check your memory sticks in the presentation delivery / control room to avoid any problems. Laptops and display devices will be available in all halls. You can use which one you like with you usb. If a presentation is requested from personal computers, information should be given to the technical desk in the hall. In order to avoid any disruptions, you must submit your presentations to the slide room for publication at least 1 hour before your session time.
Abstracts will be submitted online. Since the abstracts will be printed as they sent, writers should pay attention for typographical errors.
Clinical studies that are not chosen as oral presentations will be uploaded to the system in the form of e-posters to be viewed by participants during the congress.
